Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Foothill Computer Repairservices (the "Service"), including the website at https://foothillcomputerrepair.com, the booking and contact forms, and on-site repair appointments. Foothill Computer Repair is a trade name of Foothill Computer Repair LLC, a California limited liability company. By booking a service or using the website, you agree to these Terms.

1. Services provided

Foothill Computer Repair provides on-site mobile computer, phone, network, and related technology repair services within the listed service area. Some services (such as AI automation and web development projects) are provided on a per-project quote basis after a discovery conversation.

2. Booking and quotes

  • Posted prices are starting points for common jobs. Final pricing is provided in a written or verbal quote before any repair begins.
  • Labor is billed hourly at $99 per hour for time spent on-site, including diagnostic work. You'll get a clear quote before any repair work begins.
  • Parts are billed at cost (or with a small markup for sourcing) and are itemized separately from labor.
  • Quotes are valid for 7 days unless stated otherwise.

3. Customer responsibilities

  • Backups: You are responsible for backing up your data before any repair, especially before drive replacements, OS reinstalls, or any work involving storage. While we take care to preserve data, repairs carry inherent risk and we cannot guarantee data preservation.
  • Access: You will provide reasonable access to the device, the work area, power, and (if needed) network credentials so the repair can be completed.
  • Software licenses: You confirm you have the right to install or reinstall any software involved in the repair.

4. Payment

Payment is due upon completion of the repair. Accepted methods will be communicated at quote time and may include cash, card, Zelle, or other electronic transfers. Late payment may incur a fee and may result in suspension of further service until resolved.

5. Parts and manufacturer warranties

Parts (screens, batteries, RAM, drives, etc.) carry the manufacturer warranty offered with that part, typically 90 days to 1 year. We will assist with warranty claims at no additional labor charge during the part's warranty period when the failure is clearly part-related.

Labor itself is not warranted beyond the day of service. If you experience a recurring or related issue after a repair, contact us and we'll work with you to determine next steps — but no guaranteed return-visit policy is offered or implied.

6. Limits of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Foothill Computer Repair's liability for any claim arising out of the Service is limited to the amount paid for the specific service in question. We are not liable for incidental or consequential damages, including but not limited to lost profits, lost data, or downtime, regardless of the cause.

We are not responsible for pre-existing hardware defects, latent software corruption, or issues unrelated to the requested repair.

8. Acceptable use of the website

You agree not to:

  • Submit false or misleading information through the booking or contact forms.
  • Attempt to disrupt, scrape, or compromise the website.
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California. The contracting entity is Foothill Computer Repair LLC, a California limited liability company.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
