Foothill Computer Repair is a trade name of Foothill Computer Repair LLC, a California limited liability company ("we", "us", "our"). We provide mobile computer repair services in the Los Angeles foothills area. This policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Information we collect
We collect only the information needed to schedule and deliver service:
- Contact details: name, email, phone number, service address. Provided by you when you book a service, send a contact form, or sign up for the membership program.
- Job details: device information, problem description, scheduled appointment time, and notes added during the visit.
- Site analytics: standard web analytics from Google Analytics and Vercel — page views, referrer, approximate location (city-level), browser type, and time on page. We do not use this data to identify you personally.
How we use it
- To schedule, perform, and follow up on the service you booked.
- To send transactional emails — booking confirmations, appointment reminders, follow-ups, and receipts.
- To improve the website and service quality (analytics, error tracking).
- To comply with legal obligations (tax records, fraud prevention).
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Service providers we use
To run the website and deliver service, we rely on a small number of processors. Each receives only the information needed for its role:
- Vercel — website hosting and analytics.
- Neon — database for booking and customer records.
- Resend — sends transactional emails on our behalf.
- Cloudflare — DNS and inbound email routing.
- Google — Analytics, Workspace (Gmail), and OAuth for admin sign-in.
- OpenPhone (Quo) — business phone number provider.
Data retention
Job records and customer contact information are retained for as long as needed to deliver service and comply with tax and legal requirements (typically 7 years for transaction records). You can request deletion of your data by emailing hi@foothillcomputerrepair.com; we will delete what we're not legally required to keep.
Cookies and tracking
The website uses essential cookies for the booking session and analytics cookies to understand traffic patterns. You can disable cookies in your browser; some functionality (like the booking form remembering your selections) may break.
Children
The website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.
Your rights
California residents have the right under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) to know what personal information we hold, request deletion of that information, and opt out of any sale of personal information (we do not sell). To exercise these rights, email hi@foothillcomputerrepair.com.
